Hi all, As some of you may have seen on Facebook, Gary aka the breaks professor who did the show after me on Sunday’s “Assured Beats Working” died suddenly on Monday morning. I have known Gary for over 15 years having met him at a breaks night in Brixton and have been djing with him since then. He was an absolute gentleman and one of the funniest people I will ever meet. An amazing Dj with a record collection that was unsurpassed in its quality and breadth, even if his mixing style could be a little Avantgarde at times. We did a double header on Sunday the 14th January to cover both mine and Gary’s show from 13:00 - 17:00, with a bucket full of guests but after that there will be a gap in the schedule from 1500-1700. Gary will be massively missed by everyone who knew him or had come across him in the chat or online. I’m still trying to come to terms with it myself. We’re gonna try and do some sort of benefit / memorial gig at some point in London so I’ll keep anyone who is interested abreast of the details. Total Niceness are linking up with those very nice and people at dissident island. http://www.dissidentisland.org/

To host a part of their next event, expect some serious jungle, and turbo drum and bbbbass. From the likes of delsa, casual breakin, and idle with possible even a cameo from Luke Envoy.

The dissident island boys and girls will be providing some heavy weight, reggae and dubstep sounds, plus another room with some live music.

Hello good peoples of the world.

The total niceness show has existed from before the beginning of time and has always sought to bring you new and innovative sounds from around the world. Whether dubstep from the darkest caverns of Bristol, or techno from the wilds of Canada.
Recently there has been a lull in activities and the once heady and exciting guest schedule has become slightly more barren than it once was.

To turn the tables on this turn of events, I shall be reinvigorating the show with lots of new and exciting features including lots more guest to astonish and amaze.

This Sunday we have the return of some very special guests, who were some true originators from the original total niceness parties from the early naughties: The line up has yet to be confirmed but should include: Dj Idle, The Breaks Professor & Paul Torch. More to be confirmed.

Expect the unexpected as ever with everything from Breaks to Techno, Dubstep to House, via Drum & Bass and old skool and back again.

The Das Meisters of whom Mr Torch and Professor are members have been playing breaks since its inception and drum and bass before then, whilst Idle is a hardcore connoisseur and a scratching expert, so its gonna be a a true mix and blend of styles and fashions. As for I, I shall be playing whatever the mood takes me as usual.

Take a step back in time and have a peak at some of the formative radio shows that made the total niceness experience what it is today. Here we can sample some classic mid nineties jungle and hardcore mash up with two djs ands two mcs, whose varied mcing syle and tune selection has been inbedded into delsa and his style of presentation on the wireless.

This recording is a recreation of a tape lovingly recorded myself and faithfully preserved until now, I hope you enjoy. A highlight is stevie a singing east 17 or some crap like that. He's a legend.
